LA SOGNE (lasagna)
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 can whole tomatoes (24 oz)
- 12 oz tomato paste
- 2 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp oregano
- 4 oz lasagna noodles
- 1/2 lb mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/2 lb provalone cheese shredded
- 1/4 cup parmasen cheese shredded
- any other cheeses to taste
- 1 can mushrooms (4 oz)
INSTRUCTIONS
- brown ground beef in cooking oil; pour off the fat
- add garlic and onions and simmer til tender
- add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and oregano; simmer until thick
- cook noodles according to package directions while that simmers and blanch
- in a 9x12x2 pan, put a little sauce at mottom of pan, then alternate noodles, sauce, cheese, and mushrooms in layers, saving parmasen to sprinkle on very top.
- bake 30 min at 350
NOTES: best reheated, frozen easily. when reheating from frozen, 90 min-2h at 350
